Accessible by boat from Séné or Vannes, the island of Arz is nicknamed “Captain’s Island” because of the many sailors who sailed the oceans in the 19th and 20th centuries.
During your holiday with family or friends, discover the partly Romanesque church of the Nativity or Notre-Dame, which was remodelled in the 17th century. It has 12 sculpted capitals dating from the 12th century. Visit Kernoël, a manor house dating from the 15th century. You will also find on the Ile d’Arz, the Berno tidal mill built in the 16th century in the middle of a 200-metre stone dike.
